Initial Mischief
A downloadable TWITCHPARTY for Windows and Linux
Welcome to Initial Mischief
Initial Mischief is a chaotic 3–4 player comedy game show built for friends, game nights, and streams.
One player becomes the judge. Everyone else secretly writes their best terrible answer to a prompt. Answers are revealed one at a time, reactions fly, the judge makes the call—or Twitch chat takes over.
Play locally on one screen or host an online room for friends. Turn on webcams, add the built-in OBS browser output, and let the automatic game-show director put contestants, pressure moments, reveals, winners, and the final podium on stream.
Features
- 3–4 player local and online play
- Secret answers, staged reveals, rotating judges, reactions, and score races
- Timed writing and judging rounds, plus optional house rules
- Twitch chat audience voting
- Multiple Twitch channels can contribute votes to one shared tally
- One vote per Twitch viewer, even if they appear in multiple connected chats
- OBS-ready browser output at
http://localhost:18085 - Webcam feeds for every player
- Automatic game-show-style OBS direction for closeups, lineups, pressure moments, reveals, and winners
- 14 prompt packs, plus Deck Mash so you can combine multiple decks in one match
- Built-in prompt-deck editor for custom inside jokes and community packs
- Optional 18+ adult-comedy packs, including After Hours, Bad Hotline Answers, and Customer Support: After Dark
Streaming with OBS
Every player can use their own local OBS output. Add this as an OBS Browser Source:
http://localhost:18085
Set the Browser Source to 1280 × 720. The overlay is built for viewers: it shows the public prompt, scores, revealed answers, audience voting, player webcams, and game-show presentation without exposing secret typed answers.
Early Beta Notes
Initial Mischief is in early beta. Expect balance tweaks, new prompts, more decks, and occasional rough edges as the game gets played by real groups.
For online rooms, all players should use the same game version. Internet hosts may need to forward TCP port 18084. Webcam use may require permission from your operating system.
Support the Chaos
Initial Mischief is free to download. If it makes your group laugh, consider paying what you want—your support and encouragement go a long way toward motivating Trailer Park Games to keep improving this game and create more Twitch-first party games.
